Shredding event allows the community to dispose of confidential documents safely

POSA, the Police Officers of Scottsdale Association, is hosting a shred event on Saturday, September 26th, at the Wal-Mart, located at 15355 North Northsight Blvd in Scottsdale, Arizona, from 7am – 10am. This event will provide community members with a safe and secure resource to shred their confidential personal and business documents, serviced by Shred-It.

“Identity theft is a growing threat for individuals and businesses across the nation,” explained POSA vice president, Darlene Cook. “This trusted event continues to bring awareness of proper document management to the community and provide them with a secure method to safely dispose information. More importantly, it will provide individuals with the peace of mind that their sensitive information will not end up in the wrong hands.”

During the event, anyone can bring their documents in and have them shredded by an on-site, certified Shred-It employee. From drop-off to destruction, all documents will be constantly monitored and protected. Shred-It provides cost-effective document shredding, storage and imaging programs. Its services are designed to provide businesses with data privacy and security, compliance with regulatory requirements and greater control and access to information.

The suggested donation is $3 per box, to benefit POSA Outreach and our charitable events. For more information please contact Officer Abernethy at craigcraig704@gmail.com.
